Jumping Thunder

This is a wood-burn with acrylic paint on a 5 inch pine round. I've been experimenting with smaller pieces and like how they've come together so far. This comes in a custom frame designed to see the title and date on the reverse side of the piece. The framed dimensions are 9X9 inches. The subject is Jumping Thunder ( Psicha Wakiya) a Yankton Sioux Chief. He was a warrior and a healer, familiar with the herbs, roots, and plants to cure those with ailments. Notably, he signed the Treaty of 1858 and was part of delegations to Washington in 1867 and the 1880s.
9.00" h x 9.00" w x 1.00" d
Weight: 4.00 lb
