I am a contemporary full-time sculptor, the grandson of a German blacksmith, and a member of the Oneida Nation of Green Bay. My artistic goal is to share my mother's Native American culture, stories, and love of nature symbolically through art, while enlightening and inspiring others. I create hand-wrought, cut copper assemblages welded in hard silver solder using many of my grandfather's traditional welding techniques. In 1998, after being involved in Native American education at an administrative level for many years, I decided to dedicate my life to my love of making art. I continue to be an advocate of education and awareness through my sculptures and interactive storytelling. My art is virtually maintenance free and timeless in both interior and exterior locations. All of my sculptures are traditionally blessed with cedar and sage.
