Marcus Slim | This artist is a member of South Western Association for Indian Arts
Hi! I’m Marcus Slim. I’m half Navajo and half San Felipe Pueblo. Both my father’s side and my mother’s side of the family fabricate and sell jewelry. The Santa Fe Plaza is where my parents first met. As children, my sister and I made jewelry to simply purchase things that kids love (i.e. Video Games!) Now, I am a fulltime artist, and I also serve on the committee of the Native American Artisans Program; which is my way of giving back to the community who has given everything to me. Throughout the years, I have displayed my art in various museums and markets throughout the United States. Unfortunately, times are different; but that does not mean you can”t enjoy the creations of your favorite artists! I personally thank you for reading my story; because I take pride in my work, and I love what I do. Marcus Slim
