Acoma Plate

The Acoma plate is made from the natural earth clay, processed pottery shards, and white earth slip. A previously handmade plate is used as a base to help form the plate while using only the bare hands and a small round shaped coconut shell to completely form it. Hand designed using a yucca brush made from the New Mexico yucca plant. Design Patterns represent "Clouds & Rain". The geometric patterns may be contemporary but still have native representations. Kiln fired for added security of a quality product.
