Navajo saddle blanket woven with a hybrid technique of the diamond twill and the two-faced. The yarns are handspun from Navajo Churro Sheep wool. The only dye used is Indigo and the other colors are natural shades of sheep wool. The weaving is tight and thick as saddle blankets demand durability for use. This textile represents years of research and practice into my ancestor's techniques. I am pleased to present this utilitarian art textile.
