Woodland porcupine quillwork on birch bark using a need awl, tweezers, and small scissors. Materials include spring birch bark harvested on the Lake Michigan shoreline, artist harvested porcupine quills washed and dyed using plants, food and commercial dyes, traditional brain tanned smoked deer hide finished with size 13 Charlotte Czech cut including 24k gold and rare vintage Italian glass seed beads on brass cuff for form. All natural materials were traditionally harvested, processed and prepared by the artist.
