Honoring the grace, beauty, and spirit of horses who seemed to dance with excitement as we rode through the woods under the full moon, this hand-wrought copper sculpture was welded in silver and has a verdigris patina. Raised traditional Oneida patterns tell the story of the Wind (healing and energy), our Grandmother Moon (cycles of women, waters, and time), Lightning (Grandfathers -loud and bring rain), Two Row Wampum (journey side by side), and the Tree of Peace (permanence of Iroquois Confederacy).
This hand-wrought, cut copper assemblage sculpture is part of my new collection of horses.
